Louis Vuitton Reveal - XL Monogram Noir Strap

Posted on September 24, 2020 at 7:30 PM
Back in December 2019 I took my annual trip to Beachwood Place where the Cleveland Louis Vuitton is located. I went in hoping and praying they would have the Pochette Metis in Reverse Monogram. Once again I heard the words 'I'm sorry all we have is Empreinte if you'd like to take a look at that instead'. I of course wasn't interested. In fact I had an Empreinte piece I was looking to exchange because it was one of many items that was recalled to being defective. I knew that when I exchanged this piece that I would be buying this strap. I just didn't know which size.

The strap itself comes in three colors - black, red, and pink. I knew going in I wanted the black (Noir) but with the luck I had been having with items they wouldn't have it. My s/o that day not only had it in Noir but had it in both sizes. I tried on both and the XL was exactly what I wanted. My whole intention with getting this strap was to use it with the Pochette Metis. A bag that had already been on my wish list for five long years but I could never find.

This strap is incredibly comfortable. I am short, only 5'1" but curvy so it hits me at my hip which I love. Even being short I do not like when a strap is so long that I am having to reach so far down just to get inside of my bag. I do not have that problem with this strap. I think buying straps are a bit of a rip off because they can be quite pricey but at the same time do you really want a hard rough strap digging into your shoulder when you are out? No. You want to have something comfortable resting on your shoulder and this strap does just that. If you have been thinking about getting one of these straps and have the extra money for it, do it.

I am BACK!

Posted on September 24, 2020 at 9:18 AM
Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. I wanted to start with apologizing for my absence. It has been four long years since my last blog post and I never intended for that to happen. As many will know and understand, life gets in the way. I plan to start posting things again very soon but until that time comes I have made a few little updates to the blog.

Wish List - I have updated my wish list. If anyone even remembers what was on there you will see that nearly every item has been replaced with something else. Some of the items I was lucky enough to add to my collection while others did not. My wish list hadn't been updated for at least four or five years and as of this this morning it has been updated completely. Check out the page for what I am lusting after right now.

About The Blogger - This page hadn't been touched since I made it five years ago. It was in dire need of an update. There are probably still things I could update on this page and will probably do so in the weeks to come.

I will do my best to blog here as often as I can. Reviews, what I use my items for and so much more. Cannot wait to share all of this with you again!

You can still find me on my Instagram which is linked off to the side.

Louis Vuitton Reveal & Sales Associate S/O!

Posted on July 22, 2016 at 12:59 PM EST
There has never been a time that I have not had the best experience going into Louis Vuitton. This time was no exception. I've stated before that having a relationship with your sales associate is very important and mine never ceases to amaze me. I first met my SA back in April of 2014. At that point every time I had gone into LV I had a different SA but I never formed a relationship with any of them like I did with Veronica. She has been nothing but amazing to me since that day and I would recommend her to anyone who asked. There's been several LV trips where we miss each other but she's put items on hold for me to look at when she's not there and when she is there I can easily spend an hour in there just talking with her. She's more than just a sales associate. I consider her a friend.

This past Saturday I stopped into Louis Vuitton after making my first purchase from Chanel. (I did a reveal on my new card holder in my previous post if anyone is interested in reading it.) I had contacted Veronica ahead of time so I knew she would be there and I waited patiently for her while she was going other things. We must have talked closed to ten minutes before I even brought up that I was there to buy something. She asked how I've been, what I've been up to, and how our kitchen remodel went. Her reaction to the pictures I showed her were priceless and I wish I had asked to see pictures from her kitchen remodel.

The whole reason I got this item when I did was because I would need it before visiting my dad later this year. My husband and I don't have a traditional Christmas. Yes we put up a tree and there are presents underneath but those are for our family not for each other. We buy whenever and just hand it over. Some think we're crazy for doing that and I am sure that we are but we're okay with that. We have Christmas with his family and a Christmas with my dad so getting ours out of the way is so big thing for us.

I had the Toiletry bag 25 on my wish list for nearly three years. After getting my very first piece from the LV (Speedy 30 Mono) I had put this item on my wish list but with as little as we travel I was afraid I'd never use it. The item kept getting pushed back and then one day I said screw it. You're going to regret it if you don't get it so that's exactly what I did. The only issue I had was the same issue I have with everything. Monogram or Damier Ebene. The Monogram had been the canvas that made me fall in love with the item in the first place but as everyone knows I am not a big fan of patina. I don't mind it for a while but once it's dark I just don't like it. I prefer the raw vachetta leather when you first get an item or a very light patina and since this item would be either in my suitcase or the bathroom I was terrified of the leather getting wet. I looked at both while I was there and while I still love it in Monogram I got it in DE for a few reasons.

1. If the leather gets wet I don't have to worry about it.
2. I wouldn't be the only one using it. My hubby and I would be sharing it so I wanted something he'd be okay with.
3. DE is my absolute favorite canvas at Louis Vuitton.

The first thing I did when I got it home was toss in every single thing we would take on vacation with us and I still had room for more. My husband kept telling me 'my brush is too big it won't fit inside of it.' I told him it will fit. I was right. It fit with no issue what so ever. He did like the fact that we could just take it into the bathroom and not have to make ten trips to the suitcase when we needed something. It's definitely going to come in handy and now that I have it I need to try to convince him into taking more trips so I can use it more often.

Review - Louis Vuitton Key Pouch in Empriente Noir

Posted on May 27, 2015 at 8:30 AM EST
Those that know me know that I am more of a behind the scenes kind of a girl. I take the pictures instead of being in them. There's a reason I have more blog posts than YouTube videos (feel free to check out my YT channel). I'm much more comfortable typing out my thoughts that being in front of that camera..

Which brings me to my latest purchases and review...

I have only had this item a few days and I am completely in lvoe. Today I will be reviewing my brand new Empriente Key Holder in Noir (Black).

I first looked at this piece back in December at the Louis Vuitton in Cincinnati. It was kind of on my radar at the time and I couldn't get over how soft the leather was.. but I didn't buy it for a couple of reasons. 1.) They only had the Cherry and while it's beautiful it's not for me. 2.) Price. I only had so much money to work and I wouldn't have had any left for that day. The item then went right onto my 2015 wish list.

This past Saturday I finally added this beautiful piece to my collection. It was a belated birthday present to myself. I knew that I wanted it in black from the get go. The only thing that would have steered me in a different direction would have been a pink or purple option. This key holder as of right now only comes in four colors: Noir (Black), Iris (Blue), Cherry (Red), and Earth (Brown).

One thing I love about this key holder is that it can double as a small wallet which is one of the reasons I wanted it. It has a snap closer and a zipper on the back to hold coins or extra cards. The inside can fit cards, cash, and a key. You can see from the picture above what I've put into mine and I still have room left. The only thing not pictured are the coins that were inside the zippered compartment in the back.

This key holder will fit in small, medium, and large bags. It can be used as a wallet or just for your keys, It can attach to a D ring or you can use it as a bag charm. I love multi-functional pieces. I feel like you get more bang for your buck that way.  Most of my SLG's are multi-functional or at least for how I use them. I will get into that in a later post.

I have no regrets purchasing this item and would recommend it to anyone. Empriente leather is gorgeous and if this item came in more colors I'd consider adding another one to my collection.

2015 Louis Vuitton Wish List

Posted on May 25, 2015 at 6:49 PM EST
Everyone has a wish list. Whether it's luxury items, jewelry, clothing, electronics.. there's always going to be something out there that we want to get our hands on. Each year since I started buying LV items I have made a wish list. Some items get checked off rather quickly and some stay on for years. I think long and hard about each item as well.

There's always going to be the want factor but do I really need it? Will I use it? I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on things that never get used. We've all been there.. we all have items in our collections that get used more than others. I used my Speedy B 25 all the time while my Speedy 30 hardly gets used unless I am traveling. Some might say if you don't use it why not just sell it? Two reasons, there may come a day when I decide I am going to use it all the time and I know that if I sold it I'd regret it later on.

My 2015 wish list has changed a lot since December. I started off with three items. The Neverfull MM in Monogram, the Key Pouch in Empriente, and the Pochette Accessories NM in Monogram. It wasn't long before I decided that I didn't want a Neverfull. I needed the security of a zipper. I ended up with the Totally MM in Damier Ebene instead. The Delightful PM NM quickly made it's way onto the wish list then after thinking about it I didn't want it anymore. Then another Speedy B 25 this time in Monogram. That was one is still up in the air. I mean, do I really need another Speedy?

And now.. the only bag on my wish list. The Pochette Metis. I cannot put into words how much I want this bag. Yes it is only May but I already know that the earliest I will get this bag is in December. You can blame a kitchen remodel, landscaping around the house, and my husband getting a new truck at the end of the year for that. Plus it will be my birthday present for next year. If it remains on my radar that is. I have a habit of constantly changing my mind.

That is what the last week was for me. My birthday was just over a week ago and my husband and I were heading to Louis Vuitton this past weekend so I could get myself a belated birthday present. I knew how much I had to work with and began to think about what I wanted. Since I know I am getting the Metis at the end of the year I decided on what I'd get the most use out of and if whatever I chose would fit in other bags as well. It started off with another Mini Pochette, this one in Monogram. I thought it was my final decision then I thought.. well what about a Toiletry 15 instead? That lasted about two days.

I went back to the Mini Pochette and another Key Pouch/Cles, this is DE. I just wasn't sure. I knew I'd use them but did I really need doubles of things I already had. Well I got frustrated with myself and turned to my wish list that I had completely forgotten about. Boy am I glad I did...

Originally the Cerise (Cherry) Empriente Key Holder was on my wish list but it wasn't the right color for me especially because I wanted to use it as a small wallet. I decided that when I did get it I wanted the Noir (Black) it's just so classic and I would be much happier with it.

The Empriente Key Holder in Noir came home with me Saturday night and I couldn't be happier with it. It was so nice to knock an item off of my wishlist. Multicolor pieces will always be on my wish list even though the line has been discontinued. I was very lucky to get my hands on a black Insolite wallet back in March.

As of right now the only thing I am dying to get my hands on is the Pochette Metis. I know other items will be on it with the release of new and limited edition items but it is nice to know that my wish list isn't three miles long anymore. I feel very privileged to have the items that I have and look forward to whatever I may end up with in the future.

There's No Experience Like A Vuitton Experience

Posted on May 24, 2015 at 7:19 AM EST
There's nothing better than walking into a Louis Vuitton boutique and immediately being greeted by your sales associate... or any sales associate for that matter. I've been lucky enough each and every time that I've gone to not get a rude SA. I've had nothing but wonderful people there to help me.

Back in April of last year I went to Louis Vuitton to purchase two items, the Alma BB and a Card Holder both in Epi Leather. Everytime I had gone I had a different SA. Each of them making my shopping experience wonderful.. but on that particular day I met a sales associate that would forever change my Vuitton shopping experience. My SA Veronica.

Other than the items I'm going there to buy she's the reason I keep going back to the Beachwood boutique. Every sales associate I've ever had there is wonderful and I would recommend all of them to you. I know most of their names but with Veronica I felt like royalty the second I walked in. Normally I'm in and out of there pretty quick. I only go a few times a year and stay there for around 10-15 minutes, depending on how busy they are. I do my research and think long and hard about what I want so I'm not standing there like an idiot. When I first met Veronica I had my items picked and and paid for in 15-20 minutes. We spent the next 20-25 minutes just talking.

We talked about everything under the sun. Vuitton of course, family, celebrities, you name it. It felt like I had known her for years instead of a matter of minutes. We even follow each other on Instagram to keep in touch. I have of course gone there several times since then and while she's not always there when I go she does put items on hold for me if I ask. I wouldn't have my Illustre Balloon Charm in Damier Ebene if it weren't for her.

These last two times I've gone, last night and back in March she worked and it was amazing. It's not that I plan my trips to when she'll be there but when/if she is there it makes me even more excited to go. It's so nice to have a sales associate that will not only help you with your purchase(s) but to also have one that will just stand there and chit chat makes it so much more fun.

So if you live in the greater Cleveland area and are as Vuitton obsessed as I am go to the Louis Vuitton in Saks in Beachwood. Ask for Veronica. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Review: Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 25

Posted on August 4, 2014 at 7:54 PM EST
Anyone who loves bags can tell you this. There is always that one bag that you love/want/grab more than other. This is that bag for me.

After getting my Speedy 30 in Monogram I asked myself 'Should I have gotten the Bandouliere instead? Should I have gotten the 25 instead of the 30?' I don't regret my Speedy 30 at all but the Speedy B 25 in Damier Ebene never left my mind.

I made purchase after purchase at Louis Vuitton and I kept telling myself 'I don't want another Speedy.' and 'Why would you want more than one?' The answer was simple. The Bandouliere just makes more sense.

Back in June I was reading on TPF about 'The Speedy Revamp'. This scared the crap out of me. What changes would be made to the bag that I was so completely in love with? What if I didn't like it and regretted not going ahead and getting it while I still had the chance? This bag was on my Christmas list and when my husband came home from work one morning I told him about what I had read. I couldn't have been more shocked by his next words. 'That's what you wanted for Christmas right? Go ahead and order it.'

And I did just that.

I had been debating whether or not I should get another 30 or downsize to the 25. After thinking about it for several weeks I decided to get the 25 so when my husband told me to order it I didn't hesitate.

Fast forward a couple of days and my bag arrived via FedEx. I always try to avoid getting luxury items delivered to my home because I love the boutique experience. I love seeing everything in person, being able to try things out, and most importantly being able to take it home with me. I'm a very impatient person so having to wait nearly kills me.

I finally had the Speedy B 25 in my hands. I did a quick unboxing because we were on our way out the door to go grocery shopping. My husband told me to take my time so I began to look over the bag. It was absolutely perfect inside and out. The Damier Ebene canvas, the red interior. I was more in love with it than I had been when just seeing it in pictures.

I've now had the bag for about six weeks and can finally review it. I'd like to start by saying that it is the perfect bag for me. It fits everything I need and more. My things really don't move around too much and I never have trouble finding anything. It's not too big and not too small and I love all the ways to carry it. Top handle, shoulder, and crossbody. Crossbody being my favorite. One of the best things is that the Damier Ebene canvas can be taken out in the elements. If I'm out and it's raining I don't have to worry about water spots and the zipper closure protects all of my items inside. Another great feature is the lock and keys. If I am ever on vacation I can lock the bag so no one can get inside.

As for what I keep inside my bag it's usually a combination of different things. My iPhone 5 is always placed in the one large pocket. I purchased a base shaper because I don't like the bag to sag and it is red to match the interior. I don't really wear any make-up but I always have some kind of make-up bag that holds tissues, my Chanel double sided mirror, gum, chapstick, my Chanel Lip Baum, and a travel pill container.

I have several wallets, all of them different sizes so it's really whichever one I need that day. A lot of times I will use my Damier Ebene Mini Pochette as my wallet with my Monogram Key Holder/Cles and Fuchsia Epi Leather Card Holder inside. I'm also the type that will not leave the house without a pen so I have a purple silicon pen holder that I got off of Amazon.

If it's cloudy or raining I leave my sunglasses at home but if it's sunny my sunglasses will be inside. Since they are prescription sunglasses they are in a rather heavy case. If I had perfect vision they'd just be on my head.

The only downside to the bag is the opening. It's not the largest opening and depending on your items they can be difficult to put it or take out but it really doesn't bother me. I honestly couldn't be happier with this bag and I don't know why I wanted so long to get it. If someone asked me to recommend a Louis Vuitton bag it would definitely be the Speedy Bandouliere.

Wishlist Item: Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 30

Posted on June 19, 2014 at 12:40 PM EST
I said in an earlier post that I didn't need another Speedy bag but you can't have too much of a good thing. I love my Classic Speedy 30 in Monogram. It was my first Louis Vuitton item after all and shortly after getting the bag I discovered the Bandouliere. I began to wonder should I have gotten this bag instead of the Classic Speedy? My answer is no.

I'm thankful to have my Classic Speedy 30 but sometimes I find it to be a bit of a pain.

As much as I love my Speedy 30 it doesn't give me many options of how I carry the bag. It is a top handle bag which gives me the option of carrying it in my hand or in the crook of my elbow. I have found that both of those options can hurt after a while especially if you have a lot of items in your bag. It's also an inconvenience while shopping. While it is a bottomless pit which I love I find that I'm carrying my purse in one hand and the other is full of shopping bags. With the Bandouliere I can still carry it by the handles or I can add the adjustable strap for a shoulder strap and/or crossbody option. Any girl (or guy) loves having a hands free option if/when they need it.

My next issue was the print. I knew from the start that I wanted my Classic Speedy in Monogram. I just loved the print too much not to have it but at the time I knew practically nothing about Vachetta leather. While patina is pretty I have found it to be too much work. I like a light patina but I know it's only going to get darker and I constantly have to worry about it getting wet. I don't want to have to worry every single time I take the bag somewhere. That is why I want the Speedy B in Damier Ebene.

Other than the Monogram Canvas, the Damier Ebene is my other favorite print that Louis Vuitton makes. It's the worry free canvas. It's a coated canvas that can get wet and nothing will ruin it. No water spots, nothing. To me, I only like a Classic Speedy in Monogram and the Bandouliere in Damier Ebene but that is just my personal opinion.

As for the size I thought about getting the 25. I'm sure that my items would fit inside but the small opening has me a little worried. Unlike the Classic Speedy, the Bandouliere has two zippers instead of just one which takes away a little bit of the opening of the bag. I also don't want to take the chance of not having enough room. What if there are times that you need that extra room for a sweater, a scarf, or some other item? The 30 is perfect for me. I can fit everything I need and then some and still have plenty of room left over.

Wishlist Item: Louis Vuitton Totally PM

Posted on June 2, 2014 at 2:17 PM EST
There are items that we all have on our wishlists. Mine seem to never end. There are items I know would get a lot of use. Others that I question whether or not I want to spend the money on something that I would only use once or twice a year.

An item that has recently been added to my wishlist is the Louis Vuitton Totally PM in Damier Ebene.

Normally I don't buy a lot of shoulder bags mostly because I am constantly readjusting them on my shoulder. I also find that I don't always like the shoulder strap. Some don't seem sturdy enough or I find that they aren't long enough. I don't want my bag practically in my arm pit.

I like the strap length on a Totally. I also love that it is a zipper closure. One of the main reasons I have never considered a Neverfull is because of the closure. There is no zipper and I don't like everyone being able to see inside of my bag.

The Totally comes in three sizes - PM (Small), MM (Medium), and GM (Large). It also comes in three canvas' - Monogram, Damier Ebene (pictured above), and Damier Azur. For me the size of the PM is perfect. While it is the smallest size it comes in it has more than enough room for my daily needs. The Damier Ebene canvas will be great in any kind of weather and it comes with the beautiful red lining interior. There is a D ring that you can attach your keys, a Key Holder/Cles, or a Mini Pochette. Three interior pockets along the bag to hold your cellphone, camera, or whatever your heart desires. Two exterior pockets on the outside of the bag for easy access to keys, a cellphone, or even a bottled drink.

I considered other bags like the Speedy B 25/30 in DE which I still love but I think the Totally PM works better for me. I already have a Speedy 30 and while I love that the Bandouliere can be worn as a shoulder bag and/or crossbody I really don't need another Speedy bag. The Totally PM for me is totally perfect.

Review: Louis Vuitton - Mini Pochette

Posted on June 2, 2014 at 6:21 AM EST
Has there ever been that one item that you want but you aren't sure how it will fit with your lifestyle? This was that item for me. Today I will be reviewing the Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette in Damier Ebene.

I remember when the Louis Vuitton obsession began. I was in my early twenties and could no way afford to get anything. I would admire every bag that I saw, every SLG (Small Leather Goods) that was pulled out of a bag and wonder.. will I ever have one in my collection?

The answer.. YES! After several years I finally got my first piece, the classic Speedy 30 in Monogram which I will review later on. My collection quickly began to grow and for whatever reason I kept pushing the Mini Pochette to the back burner. I'd want it then I wouldn't. I didn't know how I'd use it and then I went to YouTube.

Most of us LV lovers run to her YouTube Channel to find unboxings, reviews, OOTD (Outfit of the Day) and so on. I knew that Jerusha Couture had a Mini Pochette and I needed to watch her video for it once more. It was then that I knew I needed this item in my collection.

Why did I choose the Mini Pochette in Damier Ebene?
At the time I was having a hard decision on which canvas I wanted. It was between the Damier Ebene and the Monogram. I was in love with both of them and it took what felt like months to decide. I knew that one day I'd be caught in the rain with it and the DE products are coated canvas. While the Monogram is gorgeous I didn't want to take the chance of getting the small piece of Vachetta leather wet. So I went with DE.

Not only is the DE canvas beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. The interior of this adorable clutch has the gorgeous red lining that we all want inside of a DE bag. It's a beautiful pop of color that really stands out.

What do I use the Mini Pochette for?
I use mine for a number of things. It really depends on what bag I am using. Most of the time I don't even use it as a clutch. I use her as either a small make-up bag or my wallet. I can easily toss in whatever I need and still have room left. If I were to use it for a clutch it can easily fit my iPhone 5, money, cards, and even tissues, gum, or a lip balm.

The Mini Pochette is my most used item. It can be used for so many different things. Not only as a hand held clutch, wallet, or make-up bag but it can also be a cross body bag. If you have an adjustable strap or even the strap to your DE Eva clutch all you need to do is attach it to the bag and you will have a hands free option.

Would I ever purchase another Mini Pochette?
Absolutely! I would add another to my collection without any hesitation. It is the perfect bag that can be used for all of your daily needs.
